The database resource brings together the best of STEP (Sustainable Technology Education Project) and SDA (Sustainable Design Award) as well as having links to the highly acclaimed Sustainability Handbook. We’ve also created links to the very best sustainable design sites in all D&T focus areas.		Watch six different sustainable designers demonstrating how they make their products. They can be used to stimulate students’ thinking about how they might tackle design tasks in a sustainable way.

Inspired by Sustainability?

We are! Which is why we've joined forces with Primary Engineer to offer a Special Leaders Award 

The award is available for three ages groups Primary (5-11), Secondary (11-16) and advanced (17-19) To obtain the award students need to provide evidence that they have been actively involved in promoting STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) in their school and to interview someone who works within the field of sustainability as a key factor.

The best interviews will be selected by us and the winners for each group will receive a solar powered media player. The winner of the advanced level will also spend a day working with a sustainable product designer. Find out more »
